Beyond the Diagnosis: Learning to Balance the Body and Mind
Join me for a unique six-week journey for those living with chronic illness and pain. This part support group, part workshop, will help you learn about updated and current neuroscience strategies that address symptoms, help you understand the role of the nervous system in healing, teach somatic exercises, and breathing techniques to turn down pain and inflammation patterns, as well as learning to reconnect with your body in a safe and regulated way.
This will be a closed group for the entirety of the six week series, meaning no new participants will be added once the series begins. Each meeting will be held on Sundays from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm starting on Sept. 20th through Nov. 8th with a 2 week break for at home practice and integration on Oct. 11th and 18th. The meetings will be held at Shuniya Yoga Studio located in Central Austin. Each participant will receive a workbook that can be used throughout the 6 weeks and beyond.
During each meeting participants will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of supportive and experiential activities including psychoeducation, somatic exercises, gentle stretching, breathing practices, journaling and supportive group discussions. Participants will be asked to bring a yoga mat and water, all other items needed will be provided.
Because this is a closed six-week group, participants are committing to the full six week series. Payment is required for all six weeks, regardless of attendance. Missed sessions unfortunately cannot be refunded. This policy allows us to maintain a consistent group that ensures feelings of safety and rapport can be cultivated over the course. $85 per session If all 6 sessions are paid upfront $80 per session
EARLY BIRD PRICING paid by Sept.6th $75 per session
